eyes

hi.
ok, last night at work there was this very pleasent man who i was chatting to, but the thing is, one of his eyes was looking to the side, ive known a few people like this but none as bad as this. i didnt want to make him feel uncomfotable but i really didnt know which eye to look at when i was talking to him, i was trying to look in both at the same time but found it really hard. so in the end i was looking in his good eye, i really hope he didnt notice. my question is.... can people see things at the side as well as looking in front? and do you think this guy knew that i didnt know which eye to look in? gingerflaps (Tue 08:06 29/Jan/08)

I met a girl when I did the inca trail like this. She looked like sir gawny weaver. i couldnt work out weather she could only see through 1 or both her eyes. I just looked into the one that was looking at me directly.

Hope this helps

I expect he gets it all the time, ginger, so I wouldn't worry about it. I presume he must have a wider field of vision than other people, with less overlap in the middle, which would be useful driving.

As someone who suffers from a lack of eye co-ordination, I would prefer people not to worry about it and to think of me as a person not a problem. I remember once meeting a man with a "funny eye" who whenever he met someone new, instantly mentioned his funny eye to reduce other people's anxiety. I only wish I had the confidence.

It might be that one of his eyes is articial and not matched properly to the other one. Don't worry, unless he tells you at some point and refers to the right one, they won't mind!

What a load of tosh. You cannot use both eyes together if one is looking in a different angle.. He isn't a chameleon
