How can I forget about what people think of me?

I find it hard to be confident around people I don't know- I think because I'm worried about the impression I am going to be making.I am eighteen now and I was not like this at all when I was younger, which is why it frustrates me so, but I think this is because I have realised that I am attractive to the opposite sex (please, no witty comments) and I know that lots of girls judge other women on their looks. At the moment I find starting friendships with men easier, because they are less judgemental and bitchy, although this rarely works out how I would like it to. I have a friend who feels the same- how can we forget about what other people think of us?

Sod what other people think of you, don;t let it enter your head that it matters, as long as you don't upset anyone along the way, be yourself, let it be their problem not yours.
Oh my god dots on the menstrull cycle again
"I am attractive to the opposite sex"

A daunting realisation when you are only 18.

A serious growing up is required.

When looking at other posts on this website, I have realised that most people are subject to your petty comments Doc_Spock. I think you are the one who should grow up- and possibly get a life as well. Seems to me you spend all your time searching for someone to annoy, hurt or wind-up. You, Doc_Spock, require 'serious growing up'- and I am sure there are plenty of people who would agree.
Hello doc my man you are back but a little green though.
take it the blow job to the ed did not work she normally falls for it evety time Im in the dungeon.
You must have done something really bad you naughty little doc you
KP nonuts you are a patronising insulting small minded git what a juvenile chauvenistic reply. how does that response help lauren? NASTY MAN
Hi KP. I do find the childrens corner tiresome.
I have a niece who thinks the same way. She finds that a lot of girls her age, 16, are jealous of the attention she gets from boys. She finds it easier to talk to boys because of course they are interested, but the girls are in competition. It,s the age I guess, when you are more mature you will find it never really mattered and you wil bel telling your daughter the same thing. You are all competeing for attention when you are a teen and trying to find out who you are. Don,t worry about what others think, be yourself.
sorry to burst your bubble but women dont judge others on their looks. Women judge others on the way they interact with them. If a woman (or girl) thinks shes better than others then thats when the others may get annpyed and judge them to be the bitchy ones.

Forget what you look like and just get on with enjoying life. If you get on better with men then fine, but dont assume its because you may be better looking than others and they are jealous or youll find that life will always be the same.

menstral cycle dot it may stop lauren growing up like you
Give KP stars for his perception of females lauren.
IE a bitter and twisted 50 something year old hag who cant get a man as nobody will put up with your mood swings.

It's so infuriating that some people are just here to **** other people off. Doc and KP, you are just two pathetic sadists. No-one cares for what you have to say, least of all me. If all you want to do is try and offend, patronise and hurt people, then you are clearly two lonely, sad people. Redcrx, I disagree- I definetly do not think I am better than other people, and I am sorry if you got this impression, but girls my age DO judge other girls- they have the opinion of yourself- that girls who are attractive KNOW this and are all up their own backsides. It's not true. Thanks to dot.hawkes and redcrx for your contributions, but I am closing this post because I 've no time for the other idiots.
kp, please at least learn how to spell it!

Good answer Dot!
Lauren, as long as you do not think this of yourself then go ahead and enjoy life, whether it be with male friends or female. As you all grow older things change and friendships change too.
Oh well watever I did try to cheer lauren up but to no avail and I can spell when I choose to

Hello Lauren , listen to those who tell you not to worry about what others percieve. No one said it is easy growing up but I can assure you , as you mature into womanhood , you will feel more confident and happy in your skin , and will worry less of how everyone sees you. You are perfect just simply because you are you . Enjoy the flush of youth , mix with whoever you are comfortable to share company with. :-)
i suspect kp nuts for brains is about 12 years of age and as for doc he is a bitter 60 year old something who realises he has wasted his life and spends his retirement on here trying to make people as miserable as he is so ignore them 2 imbeciles, it doesnt matter what people think of you if they pass comment its usually because they are insecure themselves so just walk with your head up do you want to do and dont give a monkeys what people think or say
