no, as in this day and age unless you're on a really fat wedge three times your annual salary wouldn't be enough to live on forever. I'd pay some mortgage off and invest! Treat the family!
Well i'm not on a bad salary but it still wouldn't pay off my mortgage and I plan on living longer than 3 years so i'm afraid it has to be a no from me!

I don't mean forever, just for as long as you can/want to. If there was no guarantee of getting your old job back

i couldnt not work country boy regardless if i was worth 20 million its way i was brought up id probably die young if i did through boredom
Afraid i'm a workaholic and love my job so I would still want to carry on working.
I would give up the job i was doing, and do voluntary work for as long as i could afford at animal places which has always been my dream, and then go back to working after!
I've just reduced my hours at work so no, I can't afford to!!!
Yes, as long as it was enough to live on and I was sensible, and aware that I could get more work when I needed it. I would still be active though-I would live simply, and volunteer lots :)

I'd like to think that I could give up and within 3 years have found a way to survive out of doing something I love. Not sure I'd want to go back to the same job after that or get anywhere near the same salary.
You people that love your jobs are so lucky!
i would - just to get myself out of a hole, do something i really want to do! But would go mad if i didnt work - would be bored stiff!

God yes - absolutely no question - I would find something part time that I enjoyed just to make it stretch a good few years.
If I won 3 times my salary I`d pay off some of my mortgage and then buy myself a Chyrsler 300...I`d still work though
