As some of you now know i found out back in December that i was prergnant.
Done my first pregnancy test and it came back negative, so when i did a second test a week later and it confirmed that i was indeed "up the duff" i was in shock, as was my fella.
Anyway after much deliberation over what to do (terminate or go through with having the baby) i decided i wanted to give this baby a chance.
Me and my boyfriend are both on decent wages for our age and only yesterday i was given a payrise (my boss doesnt know yet!).
Anwyay, thought i'd break the news in the infamous "body and soul" as i'm sure a lot of you dont check the "family" section.
Oh ok then ummmm1 , maybe second to him.
I would like to see a few more lads opinions. maybe i am being a little harsh and talking rubbish. If i seem to be doing so, then i will hold my hand up and apologise...
Hey Nat,
Congratulations, I don't think you're too young there are plenty of mothers that have children much earlier and cope just fine.
Its not worth regrets or caring what other people think now, its done now, just concentrate on taking care of yourself and the baby. I wouldn't worry about coping, people are stronger than they think when they need to be, you seem to be a good person and i'm sure you'll step up to the challenge of being a mother whatever it takes.
Sorry, to add nat_84, i am in no way saying your not capable of bringing up a child if thats the impression i am giving off. I have sisters who have had kids at 16 and 18 and they seem to bring up their kids well enough.
Until they get to teenagers, then the trouble starts...
Congratulations honey!!! So we will soon have a baby nat!!
I had my first child when I was 20 - it was a total shock to find out I was pregnant but I soon got used to the idea, and when I had my first scan I just could not believe that there was this tiny person inside me!
I gave birth 7 days before my 21st birthday and that little bundle is now 18 years old.
Awwwww congratulations to you, Mr Nat and baby Nat to be honey :)
I'm so pleased and excited for you :)
The things you considered and decisions you made are your decisions and that's the way it should be. It's your life, your body, your decision and nobody has the right to tell you how to live your life or critisise you for the decisions you've made.
Nobody can understand a woman's position unless they've been there themselves and all credit to you for thinking things through properly before making your decision and at that one which will have a massive impact on your life and future :)
Hmmm, if you read my posts pippa68, you would see that i am not against them. As i stated, depends on the circumstances.
I totally understand your women points of view, and i am just waiting to see if any guys are man enough to give their opininons, without fearing they will be shunned by the women on here...
as long as the parents are mature enough to accept the responsibility of childeren then the earlier the better i say!
i had old parents wen i was a kid and always felt slightly left out wen all my mates parents would play football with them or climb trees etc and thought id never want my kids too feel that so go for it nat as this will be the most fantastic part of your life yet X
Ohhh not too well redcrx :(
Everything i say seems to be bad. Wow, i better think twice about going to that party i was invited too now at pinkfizz's. It would turn out to be a whodunnit.
I would have to be careful where i put my drinks and i would after stand in a corner of the room, probably near the light switch.
Who killed MrBen5? who has a motive? It would probably be the most popular unsolved crime of this century. My bet tho would be that Pippa68 would be first to have a go ;)
