Motor Bike or Push Bike?

push bike

I wouldn't have thought it would be harmful to you or baby to cycle. This website may interest you too.

Good luck.

I don't see why not, it wouldn't be harmful! you might find that your balance is affected though from the extra weight of the bump, and I wouldn't recommend falling off, but otherwise it should be ok!

No you are fine to have excersise once you are past the first 3 months of pregnancy. The chance of any harm occuring to the baby at this far gone is relatively small.
Do have read of that link Jennifer, it's quite informative.

To just correct slightly what russian said, it is possible to exercise almost up to the end of your pregnancy but you shouldnt take up any new strenuous exercises. Also be careful of anything like running or jogging that can jar your back or pelvis, especially if you have SPD.

If its just an easy bike ride and you are used to biking (or only doing a very small amount) then dont worry. If you are aiming to go up and down mountains and havnt ridden for years then its not wise.

Get riding girl!!! yeee haaaa

Have fun Jenny - make sure you get plenty of rest too.

Good luck with the forthcoming birth!

Can you believe my mum actually biked home when she started having contractions when expecting my sister!

My sister herself was also cycling around up until a week before my nephew was born.

Well done to your Mum & sister sholay!

When you think about it - what did women use for transport before cars were invented? The bike!

i went to hospital to have my son on the back of my husbands motorbike, case strapped on the back, me on most of the seat and him with a little bit of seat and the petrol tank

i worked part time when i was pregnant and as i do not drive i cycled to work, this was down a hill so i did walk some way home but carried on cycling while it was comfortable to do so

all the best with the baby
