Apparently, they are going to spectacularly close to each other for the next few nights.
I shall be looking out for that. How exciting.

I saw it on Yahoo news.

Do the astrologers see any significance in this conjunction?
Question Author
Probably the end of the world, Sandy.

Robin Scagell, vice-president of the Society for Popular Astronomy, said: "The spectacle of the two brightest planets so close together is beautiful and really unusual. Many people will wonder what they are seeing - but it's just a natural coincidence.
I think it's the JWs who are talking about the end of the world. If it's clear I'll keep a look out for it. The conjunction, I mean.

It's a beautiful evening here and it should be clear enough to see later.

It's a shame the ISS isn't around at the moment.
Question Author
Just a little bump for those that might be interested. :-)
Doubt if I will see them, I'll be in bed for 10pm it's still pretty light then.
Question Author
Leave the curtains open, Yont.
But I need the sleep, up at 4.30am.
Ooh, thanks Tilly - will look out for that :o)

(hope Wendilla spots this thread too, bet she'll keep an eye out)

Hopefully it will remain clear here tonight, I will be out sometime between midnight and 0200 with the dogs so will keep an eye open.

Okay then. I'll let you off. Actualy, I bet you're glad you're on earlies, considering the rising temperature. You'll be home, rather than at work when it becomes unbearable.
Poor 'noon shift will have to grin and bear it.
Yes your right, 6 till 2 has it's consolations in this weather.
Question Author
It does, Yont.
I'll be looking out there tonight.
Thanks for the tip Tilly!
I saw that last night, Venus has been shining brightly on its own and suddenly there was something along side it, I didn't know which planet it could be. Thanks for that.
I read that the supply ship that was set to go to the ISS has blown up on the flightpad, NASA announced it today so there will be a delay for the scientists on the ISS.

"It's a lovely Moon out there!"
