The weekend is here again. Still too dark to see much. It's cloudy but warmer than it has been lately.

Tiggy and missus were in last night again. when they are together I can see that himself has grown a lot, almost as big as herself now. The wee ones must be weaned now as they both took food back to the nest. I don't know if the little un's will be booted out before hibernation time. I may not find out.

Afternoon oz. I hope you get a good summer mate. Ours hasn't been to bad. We are told by the weather guru's that we may have an Indian summer in the next few weeks. that would be nice. :o} Anything planned for the evening?

Just a quiet night at home.
Out of 4 kids only 2 still live at home, they are both going "partying" tonight.
It's a 100 kilometer drive from our place to "anywhere" so we tend to live a quiet life,,,,suits me.
Do you own a boat? (just out of interest).

No, I don't own a boat, but I am a boat skipper for Cotswold Canals Trust. We are restoring the inland waterways link between the Rivers Severn and Thames.

For some unknown reason the link wouldn't work for me. I'll definitely be doing some "googling" later this evening, sounds interesting.
Years ago when I lived in Sydney I was involved with the Steam Society. Volunteered some weekends restoring steam trains and old carriages, then got to take them out for a run. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sounds like fun. there is one of those near us, doing a brilliant job restoring big blocks of rust to working steam locomotives. Beautiful to see. They do cream teas on board the trains. We used to go on it quite often just to make change from being on the water.

Mon-Fri lunchboxes are for Mr Alba and the younger one, the older alba is off usually mon and fri and works the weekend so there's always a lunch-box needed :-D
