with this,
my joints are seizing up, which happened over two years ago, not enough fluid now in knee joints, which are somewhat red, crack constantly, permanent redness around the top of chest area, nape of neck, and both sides of neck, lightly touch face bridge of nose, neck and it crackles like popcorn, also its like an ear echo chamber as when i scratch my head or face even lightly, try talking to docs but they don't see to think its anything serious.
when i sit feel tingly, burning pain in knees, same for wrists.
i would never normally be in this time of day, now can't see to feel this is going to get better, looked back over notes i made over the last 2 and half years, nothing makes any sense.

Hi Emmie - really sorry to hear that you are not evidently well. However, as Sqad says it is Consultant time. Going to the A&E is also not a good idea as they don't have time to go into all your specific illnesses.

As far as I would be aware to see a Consultant would cost £100 - very worth it as he could maybe put your mind at ease.
Question Author
see what consultant and where, and what if its not just one thing,

no idea if tested for lupus,
I agree with some of the other posters on the point of testing for Lupus - it is a complex area and could account for some if not all your symptoms, at least ruling it out would be a start.

When a whole collection of problems all gather together it is hard to know where to go - I hope you get some more help and a referral from your GP this time.
First port of call is to ask that then Emmie.

a number of docs think its somatising, no idea how they can think i can conjure burning sensations in any part of the body, that is some sort of nerve damage i would have thought.
Been looking on google about long term effects of Herpes , if you had it for a long time without treatment there can be effects that are like some of the things you describe. I am sure you know Herpes can be controlled but not cured, once you have it ,it stays in your nerves and can effect your immune system.
Somatisation may well be a factor but I don't think it covers all of your many symptoms - a full range of tests to rule out other causes first would help - of course what generally happens (understandably) is a test for one thing the weeks months later, a test for another.
We are ALL entering into an area that we are ill qualified to comment upon.

Eddie, i know after talking with the docs in clinic, it never goes.
i am scared as hell i do know that, this is so long, first jotted stuff down in 2012, it doesn't get it out your mind, that isn't why i do it, just to try and make some sense. fear some form of malady that no one understands, bit like the pancreatitis which could have been construed as IBS by GP
the weight loss is more than ever and other than the anxiety of all these burning sensations, just went on and on. acoclovir doesn't take that away its supposed to stop another outbreak.
Question Author
sqad, most know that.
-- answer removed --
I know Emmie that you do have physical signs of all your illnesses but Anxiety/Stress can play a big part in that.
emmie, im sorry you feel so unwell, but no disrespect to helpful abers, no one can make a diagnosis for you on line., if you feel so unwell, contrary to what others advise go to gp/a&e today.
Point taken, good luck Emmie - take Squad's advice.
Question Author
it doesn't mean they can't try and be helpful. I have had various tests, and most everything has come up negative, the thing that floored me was severe back pain, with that came the weight loss, then the burning sensations anywhere, i know the anxiety kicked in big time, if you like, why wouldn't it.
My life changing events years ago taught me that no one is immune from pain mental, physical, i was a strong capable person, mostly, then crashed
when the whole world fell on me.
I think Emmie - you do need to see your GP - a kind one - as Abers cannot give diagnosis about you without knowing you. Please seek help - don't give up.
Question Author
jenny i know, but if you had burning sensations like being set on fire in buttocks, legs, feet, how would you cope, i haven't, and there was no rational explanation, i have been knocked over by a so called simple virus before, and then gingivitis, which created havoc, tinnitus, vertigo all a plague.
emmie, if I had you're symptoms today and ''can't cope '' I'd be seeking medical advice .
Well Emmie - I certainly suffer from those "and then gingivitis, which created havoc, tinnitus, vertigo all a plague".

All debilitating and does knock the stuffing out of you. Would you have a wee friend you could talk to and maybe get it off of your shoulders - "it's good to talk" - until you get to GP.
