Feeling guilty all the time

Hi,

My husband and I had holiday booked from weds last week and sods law I came down with a nasty cold on the Tuesday evening so we have spent our time off sat at home as I havnt felt well enough to go out.

It's now the weekend and I'm beginning to feel better but now the weather is rather hot I don't really feel like going out and so again were sat indoors watching rubbish daytime tv.

Hubby has made use of the time and tidied up our garden etc but I'm just feeling so guilty that our holiday has been wasted because of me and I'm now going to have to go back to work tomorrow and tell people that we did naff all with our time off.

I guess I'm just asking if I'm right to feel guilty or if I'm over thinking it too much!?

I just always feel like I could be doing something useful and sitting down doing nothing is a waste.

Thanks and sorry for the rant :)

Well....its nice to just have time to do nothing i think!!

Why not go for a nice meal tonight xx
it's purely lousy timing.

you have nothing to feel guilty about - as you did not get sick on purpose.

the correct thing has been to stay at home and get your strength back, and your husband sounds like he does not blame you either .. indeed , as you said, he has made the best use of his time.

like the lovely tinkerbell advises -- go out for a meal with him. and whilst there - tell him that you will have another few days off in the near future, and then you will make up for missing this one.
How about going out tonight, for a pub meal, pictures, walk by the beach, whatever you fancy. It'll be cooler then and it'll make you feel like you've done something nice together.
Just bad timing. And it doesnt sound as though hubby is making you feel guilty for being poorly . At least you both had some time off work and spent it together.
