How could there be confusion over this? Is it the DM again?

This has been an odd story Ann, I'd exected it to be far more high profile than it is (unless I've missed stuff). Anyway, not to speculate, hope she's found safe. Time will tell.
I do hope that she is found soon, safe and well, and that any of her family
are not involved in her disappearance.
I don't think it's the DM as Sky News has just reported the same. I think somebody is telling porkies.
as far as i can see different people are giving conflicting stories and the police want to re interview the chap to find out what actually happened

Yes it all seems very strange to me too, there seems to be a cover up in the family for something. As in all cases like this - time will tell unfortunately.
It does seem odd that she wasn't picked up on any CCTV cameras

Hope she's found safe and well
This does seem odd. When I first read it I thought of the Shannon Matthews case. As with other cases it usually involves someone with a connection to the family. Let's just hope that the outcome is good.
in the mirror this morning it had more info on the ex-con druggy step-father and the grandmas BF who used to date tia's mum and was like a grandad/dad to her.
My friend and colleague, who I sit next to at work, lives in the flat opposite Tia and her family. I won't say what she said she had witnessed over the years, but as everybody else has said I hope Tia is found safe and well.

He says he is innocent but I do worry that someone has kidnapped her because of his "shady past" though ......
Hope she is found safe and well, but I don't like speculation on a web/chat site. We just don't know, and it doesn't help.
Agree with LL, however I did see the Grandmas' partner interviewed on TV last night, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.(body language)
I have seen two photographs of her and she doesn't look my idea of a 12 year old.

Just an observation.........that's all.
Shady family, but that doesn't mean they are involved. Just think we should keep our views to ourself. And Sqad you are right, she looks much older - no 12 year old should look like that in my opinion. But you and I are of a generation that perhaps thinks differently.
Being a prime candidate for the Jeremy Kyle show doesn't mean that you'd put your 12 year old daughter/g.daughter in any harm. None of us here know the family so speculation is pointless and damaging.

I actually thought she looked more like a 12 year old girl than a lot of the 12 year old girls I see.
Lottie, i thought that too when i saw the TV pic....but there are pics of my nine and six yo great nieces looking like that at a special birthday party, My niece would NEVER allow them to go out looking like it or even to make up like it at home....unless she does usually look like that though, its a bit of a strange one to get published for "have you seen this girl?"
I am just old Woofie. I think girls of 12 should still be in white ankle socks ;o)
most of the time Lottie, our girls are. The party was one held by a school friend, instead of a clown or magician, they had nails and makeup done. The pics are certainly not the ones their parents would choose in similar circs.
Odd that this step grandfather is talking about Tia in the past tense ..... "I loved her to bits......" Anyone else think that's odd?
No...that's just how people talk.
