I saw an article about a miserable (cold) May after "awful April" but that summer was supposed to be hot after.

I don't mind.. I like the cold. Probably because i'm from Scotland. I actually really don't like the Summer at all.

Independant forecaster "Weather Action"

The Telegraph love these guys because they're a bunch of clime change skeptics and go about saying "Oh it's going to be freezing"

I seem to recall they were predicting snow in October last year, that was a bit of a boo boo you might recall, then it was going to be November and then December.

They had all the Supermarkets stuff full with snow shovels - do you remember

Ah well even a stopped clock is right twice a day we got a few days snow in the end!

I follow the weather forecasts regularly (I'm a window cleaner) and believe me, they can't forecast a week in advance, never mind a month. I'll look at the weather forecast for the week ahead on Sunday. I'll note Friday's weather forecast and I can guarantee that by the time Thursday comes and I look at Friday's forecast again, it's changed. What's the point of giving a 5 day forecast if they can't do it accurately. The 24 hour forecast is usually not too bad, but anything beyond that ......
For the past few years as well, they've been telling us that we're gonna get a hot summer. I think that they're just playing a numbers game and we're prob due a good summer soon as we haven't had one in aaaaages.
As for this coldest May in a hundred years malarky - well, let's just wait and see ......

It will definitely be awful as we're going on a little mini-break to the Bristol area in the middle of May and bad weather follows us around :( Having said that - out last holiday at the end of March was in the mini-Summer so I hoped we had broken the curse!
