Can you please advise? My grand-daughter, age 10, is forever having time off from school because `she doesn`t feel well` and again she is off to-day, admittedly when my O/H and I visited yesterday she had a temperature and a sore throat, but other times I think she is just too lazy, like her mother, whom deserted them over a year ago for another woman. Could it be she is pining for the bitch, or could it be tonsillitis?

No Carlton, I'm sorry. I have been thoroughly told off by sqad.... that doesn't happen very often! I shouldn't have criticised your way of expressing your hurt, it just made me feel sorry for the little girl, that's all.

I did think, when I saw the avatar, and the question, "that's not like carlton".

sqad, thanks, you`ve put it in a nutshell.
She `was` my daughter -in-law.

Please - no pussycats.... I think I'd rather have the rottweiler ;-)

Luv`s yer also salla, no hard feelings.
Is the little girl being bullied at sckool? kids can be really cruel if they know the mam has run off, and with another woman would give the bullies more to work with. I'd put money on this being the case.

I gotta go clean out my little pink birds cage now so, "tarra"
arwyn......that is a good point.
That really is some scary looking beast...... (no, I don't mean sqad).

Anyway, arwyn could very well be correct - kids, especially at that age, can be quite cruel. If they are aware of what happened, they could well be teasing her at the very least.
She must be going through hell the poor mite, missing her mam, feeling let down and abandoned by her mam, seeing her dad suffer and all the family hurt and angry. I soooo hope things are ok at school but I doubt it.
I have no information about you other than your question posted.

The tone of your question suggests to me, and I think to others who have answered you, that you are angry with the little girl. She cannot help any of this trouble that has been visited on your family.

However, I'm very glad that the GP has called and prescribed medicine for her, so presumably he/she thought that your granddaughter had some ailment that needed treatment.

If I have misjudged you , I apologise.
