it was my dads funeral today and whilst we were at the church a white feather fell at my sisters feet...what does that mean?

but if you believe in such things (Gloria Honeyford spoke a lot of this) it means an angel was there.

I confess, I don't believe in such stuff but whenever I see a white feather somewhere unexpected I think of my late dad. one drifted very slowly across my windscreen yesterday when I was in traffic. strangely comforting.....

That's very moving stokey , and it must mean something surely . My sister used to love ladybirds and said she wouldn't mind coming back as one in the next life. When she passed away I had forgotten this until , at the funeral a lone ladybird landed on my sleeve . Since then I have seen a lone one at her graveside too . x

I lost my fantastic dad to cancer 4.5 years ago and he comes back as a robin. I often see 'him' in the garden and he joins me on my dog walk most days. I always say 'hello dad' to the robin and I find it very comforting.

My dad often seems to make me put Magic fm on the radio and it will usually be Billy Joel or the Carpenters. He is def around me and I am sure your dad will look out for you al the time. Dont look for him but you will know he is there for you. Lots of love to you on this very difficult day x

thank you all it just floated down as we were standing outside the church after the service,me and my 3 brothers were pall bearers and it was a very proud but sad thing,i would like to thank you all for your kind words over the last few weeks,you have all been so kind..............

It means a seagull has a cold arse somewhere!!!!!!

But the Lord does work in mysterious ways.

But whatever it means, it is no way a bad thing otherwise it would have been a bird crap instead, though in certain circles that is seen lucky I believe.

well a few months ago I drempt that my nan had died, she was in a home in ireland and was quite ill, the dream was very vivid and she came to me, she didnt speak but I could feel that she was unhappy and then like a scene out of ghost I saw her pass (like the spirit rising up out of the body scene in the hospital), I then saw a very young woman of about 16, I knew it was her and she was dressed in clothes from the 20's she got into a car and was driven away. I then woke up in a sweat at 5am monday morning.

a couple of days later my mom phoned me and told me my nan had passed on, I asked when she passed, she asked my dad who said, it was early on monday morning about 5am, I was shocked !!

I was on the computer on AB at the time, in shock I began to explain my dream when on recent posts a new thread called "nora's quiz" popped up , nora was my nans name, I think it was her letting me know she was still there

My granny loved white butterflies and at her funeral there were 2 of them as the coffin was taken out of the hearse and they were there again at the graveside as she was buried. It was lovely. There are often 2 white butterflies in my garden dancing around like fairies and I always say hello gran ! A small white feather landed on the grave of my hamster too last week !

I'd love to believe in this sort of thing, I really would, 'cos I'd love to get some sort of sign from my mum, who died 20 years ago.

I'm very pleased though, honestly I am, that you folk have found these things. It must be very comforting for you. Bless y'all.x

When my mother in law died there were a few white feathers near her too...only cos she put up such a struggle!
