Insect bite?

This morning I noticed what I believed to be an insect bite on my upper arm but now there is a lump about the size of a 2p under the skin, Its similar to how you arm goes after you've had an injection.
I've never had a bite react like this before so what could it be?

it might be a horsefly bite Jo, have u taken a piriton, is the area itchy?

It`s probably where they`ve laid eggs,its quite common for insects to lay eggs under the skin, happy hatching!!!!!!

i swell up within 5 minutes if i get bitten by a horsefly

no its not itchy dot but the lump is quite hard :( I live near a bog n we get mutant moths n all sorts so lawd only knows what bite me *yuke*

it will itch if the infection sets in, take some antihystemines now and see how it is tomorrow

Thanks Dot :) I dont have any antihsythingys but will get to a chemist in the morning, was just a bit concerned cause haven't seen anything like it before :(
