Burnt tongue

Does anyone have a suggestion for curing a burnt/scalded tongue? That'll teach me to wait till my food's cooled down but can anyone recommend a way to speed up the healing process?

No, no idea. Just take 600mgms Ibuprofen to ease the pain. It will be better in the morning.
Sucking on ice cubes ought to ease things a little.

Thanks folks. (600mg of Ibuprofen? That sounds a bit much, no?)
No!
g ant with loads of ice - hang you tongue in and sip.
Cut a hole in the top of a pot of yogurt, poke your tongue in and secure it to your face with rubber bands round the ears
Prob'ly won't help, but it should get a laugh in the pub.
the traditional remedy is to dab it with bicarbonate of soda but that might be worse than the burn
