SKIN GVHD

Has anybody suffered with skin gvhd after a bone marrow transplant, and what were the symptoms ?

I am cr@p at skins, so take this in whatever seriousness you choice and nop I have never had a transplant.

This usually takes place in the first 3 months after transplant.Rash on palms of hands ans sole of feet, spreading and becomes itchy and painful.

There is a chronic stage of skin problems, but i have forgotten how they manifest.

Chronic GVHD occurs after 100 days post transplant lots of other ways it mnaifests but starts off with itching and redness (stage 1) but can go on to become painful and can start to to ulcerate... treatment is steroids and adjustment to anti rejection drugs..

For stage two and above they may monitor you more closely in case not just the skin is affected.
