I have secondary breast cancer, so my care is palliative now. I'm having my first full bone scan today. I'm a wimp and scared of needles! I have pain in my right side and my lymph system is in fighting mode. I'm usually cheerful but sometimes it's difficult. I have wonderful family and friends who are supporting me so well. Please think of me today if you will. Moyra

Oh thank you all so much for your kindness. The jab was painless! What a lot of worry for nothing. Lying on the rigid bed while the scan was done took about fifteen minutes and it was quite painful as my back is not right. Still, it is all over now. Results on the 8th, after I have also had a CT scan, which will be done on the 6th Dec. Will let you know what I'm told. Moyra

I've been told that I have over a litre of fluid in my right lung! I am to have it removed on Thursday 8th December, staying in hospital overnight. I'm then to speak to the consultant again on the 15th December. Sounds crazy, but I'm overjoyed that they can do something to help me. I've been in a lot of pain and have been so breathless I've had to be pushed around in a wheelchair when visiting the hospital. I've got wonderful friends who are keeping me cheerful throughout. I hope I'll feel a lot better once my lung has been drained. :-) Moyra
I do pray that you are feeling much better today Moyra. Speak soon xx

I had over three litres drained from my right lung. Can now breathe again. Fluid still draining so I'm still under observation.
Keep the chin up!

Imagine - all that vodka that came out of your lungs......
Lot of love and best wishes to you Moyra, I'm sure you'll be feeling a lot better with that lot gone, you are in our thoughts.
I am glad you have had your liquid drained. My thoughts and prayers are with you.xx
My heart goes out to you Moyra. When I've read about your problems in the past and now, it puts all my moaning about pain to shame.
Keep your chin up, as I know you will. You've been so brave in your previous posts.
I hope that you and your family have the best Christmas ever, even if it is the last thing on your mind right now.
3 litres seems phenomenal! I hope you feel better for it x
The sheer relief that you can now breathe again without too much pain must be wonderful, I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Moyra.

Oh thank you for being so kind. Well what is there fof me to do in hospital at 2.20am but to log on to AnswerbanK?
nobody here but us insomniacs! I'm glad they've been able to give you some treatment - three litres, good heavens.

I do hope you drop off. Being awake late is a nuisance, but in a hospital it must be very frustrating. Do you have akindle to read or something?

Best wishes... I'm off to bed, with my fingers crossed.
