Pure lomon juice is better & smells better. Its the mild acid that helps.
Its got to be in good condition tho & that comes from inside spots

I'll be reading this post with interest. I wanted to post this myself. The past couple of weeks, my hair has been as dry as a bone and not shiny :( Using pantene shampoo and Loreal Elvive conditioner and I wash it everyday. I have dark hair so I need it to shine!
MissCommando - years ago my Mum was told (by her hairdresser) not to use Pantene because it has a lot of silicone in it and that can make dark hair quite dull. It`s not a problem for blonds (which is why Pantene used to use blond models in their advert) but it`s not so good for brunettes.
Serum
Mabye treat yourself to a conditioning treatment at a salon!? I love aussie 5min miracle x
Brunette hair is the shiniest, keep the ends trimmed, use lots of conditioner (but make sure you rinse it out properly), eat well (nuts are good) & drink lots of water
Use a pomade, Joico Brilliantine is a really good one.
Don`t stick it to a hot light bulb.
Surprised that nobody's mentioned the temperature of the water. The cooler the washing and rinsing water, the shinier the end result. (Hot water makes the tiny scales on the hairshaft stand up and these scales scatter light in different directions - making the hair look dull).
Isn't science wonderful?
Thanks 237SJ. I used my daughter's 2 in 1 Naked Natural Kids Shampoo (from Boots) today. What a difference already. I'm going to throw that Pantene and maybe keep using my daughter's or buy Johnson's baby shampoo for a bit.

It actually feels so much better and it feels lighter. I have heard about rinsing with cold water but can't bare it. May give it a try when I'm feeling braver lol.
