the wishing well

Anyone know who painted this? Is it a wishing well? I found it while searching for those but there was no information regarding the artist or name of the painting.

*fumbles for optical cloth* Really???? I don't think so but it could of course be a photo that's been processed to look like a painting. But... nah...! *fumbles some more*

Hm, yes I see what you mean - there is something "not right" about the outlines. I perceived it as part of a painting style but you could be right.

This is not an oil painting, it is a composite. The lighting and the perspective are wrong, and there is photographic infilling from the right side. It has no merit, and should be binned.

Thanks Pickle, you're a gentleman. This piece doesn't really represent my taste in art but I needed a wishing well image for a particular reason and didn't want to use it without being able to attribute it to someone. I've now solved the immediate problem in another way but it's likely I'll want to return to this image for future use so yes it would be great if you would have it in mind. I forget to check my swedeheart mailbox so if you do reply to this question at a later date it may be a while before I discover the AB reply mail - but sooner or later I will.
