Thanks Sqad. I was staying at a friend`s place last night and we thought we would have a go with her machine. I think the upper level could have been lower. Maybe when I get on that diet, it will come down. Good job I did it before the hell of this evening`s M25 and not afterwards.
LOL.....glad that you seem to have settled back into some sort of routine after the death of your mother........well done.
pretty good, I would say, my last one was 130/80 on Rampiril (5mg) and with this painful shoulder so the quack was more than happy to continue with my current dosage, given my weight loss.

Thanks Sqad. DT - yes weight loss does make a difference.
I'd say that's was very good.
When I was taken into hospital 3 months ago the paramedic took my BP in the ambulance. The reading was 60/30. He told his oppo, "This guy's dying. I replied, "Not if your mate puts his foot to the floor. Get driving"
Here in the U.S., you can take your home BP instrument into to the Doctor's office and for no charge they will check it against their office model for accuracy.

As sqad says, don't let it get any higher… both numbers… see here for a good explanation:

Beware Home Machines - notoriously inaccurate in some cases, especially wrist-mounted ones apparently.

Why not call in at your local clinic and get it done (or many chemists offer such a service).
