i found a copy of the book you recommended, Khaled Hosseni, A Thousand Splendid Suns. I was going to Waterstones but a local bookseller had a second hand copy. I have read the blurb and it looks very promising. When i have finished it will let you know. If i like it, will see if they have The Kite Runner.

its a good book so is kite runner but i thought 1000 splendid suns was better.

1000 Splendid Suns is one of the best books I have read. I would also highly recommend The Book Thief. Both left a lasting impression on me :) X

Just goes to show how different books appeal to different people...............I thought The Book Thief was dreadful.

I bought a copy of the Kite runner for 4 quid in local book store, very good so far.
