The Hunger Games

This was recommended by my daughter who can read the trilogy fast enough but I can't get into it. It's well written but I'm only a quarter of the way through and it seems somewhat depressing. Perhaps I'm catch the film and try again.

A friend saw the film with her daughter. She thought the film surprisingly good, rather better than reading the books. And she's a children's librarian.
My friend loved these books. I've just started on the first one, but I'm only a few pages in so I can't really comment yet.
'm the same. I enjoyed the film but can't get into the books. It is surprising as I am usually the other way round.
I read the trilogy in 10 days, i loved it, usually i read crime/thrillers so it made a change, can't wait to see the film.
