Should our AB Profiles be expanded.?

I am aware that many of my suggestions have failed to meet with the Ed's approval because they have concerned the Rules and Regulations of AB.

However, hopefully, remaining now within the R's & R's, I put forward the suggestion that our Profiles within AB are individually and optionally expanded to include Date of Birth and Occupation.

Such a course of action would of course reveal that I am a retired oldie.( as if you didn't already know that.!!)

Don't see the problem with that, as long as people who don't want to give out that info are given the option not to use it

if it's optional, fine (though people can always reveal the information in their posts). If it's mandatory I shall lie. I won't even mention my OBE.

I totally agree about DOB. I'd have no objection to age.

There's already existing fields such as Location, Favorite Sports Star, and Life Motivation which (as far as I can tell) are not displayed to anyone other than the user. Replace all the currently unused entries with a single comment box for the user to provide whatever info they choose to reveal, and display that as part of the public profile.
