The glass is generally safety glass - so you shouldnt cut yourself breaking it with your hand!

if its toughened glass then they sometimes have a little mini hammer by them, but most glass in them is like ones in fire alarms, really wouldnt cut you. But I cant remember last time I saw a first aid kit behind glass, most places have a trained first aider that would have the kit.

Yeah but if it were to be proper glass and you were only after a plaster it wouldn't be worth it, I supose that it would be that safety glass they use on tv and films thinkng about it.
