All 4 babies successfully fledged and flying. They still come back to the porch with their parents every night to roost (and will now do so until they fly to their winter quarters) xxxx

Morning,

Was meant to be going to Somerset for a couple of days but didn't feel well yesterday and feel totally horrible today. Couldn't face the journey this morning - so here I am on AB.
To make matters well I have broken out with teenage spots.

The weather is horrible, overcast, windy and lots of squally showers. All three pets are asleep on my bed!!

Swallows are still well and thriving. I bet they are anxious to fly back south now the weather has turned so horrible!! Can't say I blame them, perhaps I could go with them ;o)

x
Sorry you are feeling poorly Lottie. Lets hpe you haven't caught you horrible childhood lergy.
To cheer you up there is a nice post by Afcjan in pets

Hello Ruthann. Nice to hear from you. Have just stayed in today watching the rain and feeling sorry for myself! I do hope you have a lovely holiday in the Chilterns - lovely part of the world. My email address is on this thread and the invitation is obviously for you as well!

Goodnight
xx
Good morning everyone. We have an infestation of trolls again so thank god for this thread. Sanity!!!!!
Hi to all. Rosetta you are right - i see peewit is back on form. have just reported - can't be doing with that again!!!

Sad person - has nothing better to do!!!

Hope all are well - thank goodness we have this thread! Lottie - hope you are feeling a wee bit better today - its raining here big time on and off - pup hates it (me too) - so walkies will wait till later. Got up at 5.45 this morn and couldn't believe how dark it was - then had deluge of rain just when i was putting rubbish bags out!! How typical - i came back indoors looking like one big drip!!!

ruthann - hope im not too late in wishing you a lovely holiday - cassie sounds just like pup - has to know whats going on all the time!!

Rosetta, what sort of doggie do you have? Pup sends slobby kiss to all - he's sulking at the mo - hang dog expression!!!

His luck may be in as it is brightening up a wee bit now!! Def wellies tho - quite a lot of surface water about.

Catch up with you all soon. :o=)xxxx

Ps - sorry to sound so hard on peewit - but my gut feeling has always told me its a wind up - there was a lot of upset in his previous posting - and now here we go again!!!! I don't believe its genuine - if peewit has any questions then surely the breeder can address those!!! I'm all for helping people but ......... !!!!
pps: It doesn't take too much to work out who it is!!! I found that to my cost a few weeks back!! Various user names .... I will say no more. xxxxx
Alfie, I have a westie. We think he must be about 10 or 11, but he came to us about 3rd or 4th hand so can't be sure. My mum had him before us but she died last year so we inherited him. I joke that my mum left her money to the dog so we had to have him. He is a sweet little pooch but as thick as a brick. I am trying to pass on photos of my two to Lottie so if I succede I'll post them on here as well. I am not upto date with this technology stuff but I do try.I totally agree with you about peeweebirdbrain. I am glad you reported him, but I suspect we will get a few more idiots before the weekend is over.I wish some of our other animal loving friends could join us on our refuge thread, its difficult to do without drawing this to the attention of the idiots.
Ps i have just emailed the ed about him
Nice one Lottie lol

Morning folks.

I am feeling a bit better today so am going to the reserve this afternoon. I think it might give me a boost and a bit more 'get up and go'I actually managed to go out shopping yesterday evening, but it was such an effort.

Rosetta, every Westie I have ever known has been 'thick'!! Bless him ;o). I am looking forward to the photos.

A big brighter weather wise here today but not exactly what I would call summer. Some September when all the kids go back to school we will get some beautiful weather. It happens every year!! I actually think Summer should now be officially August, September and October - autumn November, December, January and so on..................... the seasons all seem to have moved forward a couple of months. When did we really have very cold Decembers!!

Unfortunately, if people click on 'most recently answered' they can find us very easily, so I think perhaps we might have some 'flies on the wall'. Let's hope we can keep going for a while though.

At least we know we can contact each other through other means now!

Take care

Love
LL xx

'bit brighter'

I need a brain transplant!!
Dear Rosetta - Im so sorry to hear about your mum. I lost my mum and dad fews years back now and still miss them like crazy. I still talk to them (does that sound silly?) and i always think they are here with me in spirit.

Your wee doggie sounds adorable. Would love to see a picture of him. Like you, i am rubbish at computer stuff - i will ask my son if he can show you picture of my wee pup - maybe do it on lottie's email address.

You are right about the trolls - peewit is well known on here - under various names. I found out by chance who he was. Can't believe he's up to his old tricks again!!!!

What a shame all the other nature lovers don't know about our little thread - is there no way of letting them know without the trolls spoiling it for all of us?

Looking forward to seeing pics of your wee pets. xxxxx
Hi Lottie - just read your post - it takes me so long to type mine that all get in before me lol!!!!l

I hope the trolls don't find this thread - its so nice to chat to everyone without worry re trolls. Have a good day - catch up soon.xxxx

I am mortified!

I made up a bucket of Jeyes Fluid solution and scrubbed the porch below where the swallows roost every night. You can imagine what it looked like!!

Anyway, I then poured the Jeyes down the outside drain when what I thought was 'leaves' moved towards me. I had poured all the solution over Mr Toad who was sitting on the drain cover :o(. I quickly turned the hose on and hosed him down for about five minutes and he now seems to be OK, but I am still worried!!! I feel like a murderer!!!

Apart from that, I am feeling a lot better (going to the Reserve yesterday really cheered me up). Am now off to the Osteopath for another session.

Have a really good long weekend ladies.

Have fun Ruthann and don't forget the email address is for you too.

xxxxxx
Lol Lottie that must have given you a shock. I am sure Mr Toad will be fine, you obviously gave him a thorough dowsing.
I am glad you are feeling a bit better.

Alfie, thank you fo your kind thoughts

Ruthann, have a great holiday.

Have a good weekend everyone. Cuddles to all you beasties
