All 4 babies successfully fledged and flying. They still come back to the porch with their parents every night to roost (and will now do so until they fly to their winter quarters) xxxx

hi everybody glad all is well with you all not a lot happening here at the moment my first cucumber was nearly ready for picking at the weekend a real acheivment as im not very good with them, guess who got in the green house before me THE TORTOISE ! who helped his self to nearly half of it .we are off to the chiltern hills on the 22nd for a week so everythng will probably die in there before we get back. the tame magpie seems to have gone hopefully he flew away and did not get eaten by the stable cats
Question Author
Hi ruthann,

LOL at your tortoise and the cucumber!! Bless him! Hope the tame magpie is alive and well somewhere. Mr LL had a tame magpie as a pet for many years. He and the ginger cat were firm friends!

It's been a lovely day today in North Norfolk after all that rain over the last few days. I'm hoping for another nice day tomorrow as I'm off to the reserve to help out in the visitor centre in the morning.

Nice to see you.

x
Hi, everyone! Only me, just dropping in for a chat. It's been lovely reading this thread - how nice to know that we all appreciate what's going on around us (especially tortoises & cucumbers!). We have a young buzzard who's been turfed out by its parents - it's so pathetic to hear it calling but it's got to go off and learn to fend for itself. My young woodpecker is still coming down to the bird feeder and is growing well, as are the baby swallows. It's depressing to think that in a month or so, they'll be gone and winter will soon set in. Oh, well, another few months & it'll be spring again....
Lottie, we were near Cromer at the weekend. Unfortunately it piddled down on saturday. We went to the Little Theatre in Sheringham on saturday evening.
If you are in North North Norfolk we couldn't have been a million miles from you
lofty didnt realise you were in norfolk where abouts, we are in suffolk between lowestoft and yarmouth we come up to south creake in the caravan sometimes for a few days its lovely up there i love holt lots of nice little shops to poke about in .alfie you sound like me with the dinner my lot call me ria
Question Author
About 4 miles from North Creake Ruthann!! Reserve is about 3 miles. Won't put my whereabouts on here but if you or anyone on this thread would like to email me at [email protected] then you are very welcome. It's the email address I have especially for AB and I will reply to any genuine people and give them my proper email address.

You were about 15 miles away in Sheringham Rosetta!! Sheringham is really nice. We were in Wells next the Sea at the weekend!! Went down on Sunday evening for chish and fips and ate them sitting on the harbour wall!

I meant South Creake! (although North Creake is not much further).

Hi all! How lovely to see everyone chatting!!! We have done well on this thread!!! Our little secret Lol!!!! Lovely news from all.x

Everyone sounds well and happy. Bit chaotic here at the mo: son just back from backpacking in states with pal (omg the washing!!!!) and daughter is off to suffolk monday to our friends cottage (dog sitting - another spaniel - and cottage sitting) then she's off to Norwich to uni. Im so jealous - we all had a wonderful hol in suffolk last year - the wildlife etc - absolutely amazing - but just can't fit it in this year. Daughter is fairly looking forward to Norwich and surrounding countryside.

Fairly quiet here re wildlife - nothing much to report. No sign of yellowbeak :o(. Just off to the beach soon for walkies with wee pup, looking forward to that. Lovely day here at the mo weather wise.

Ps: we are growing an apple tree in a wee pot!!! It's now one inch high!!! How long do you reckon before we get a bumper crop of fruit !!!! Lol!!! xx

Your daughter will just love Norwich Alfie - I think it's the nicest city ever and comparitively safe as cities go.

Don't forget the email address is for you as well!!

Have been to the osteopath today about a shoulder problem which I thought was due to my arthritic neck. Apparently I have twisted a rib!! I keep getting electric shocks down my arm - yuk!!

Have a good weekend with your family (including Pup) of course.

xx

Have a good weekend.
Oh Lottie - hope you are feeling a wee bit better now - and pain has eased.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Manic here at the mo, daughter packing up all worldly belongings ready for the off tuesday. Her grandad comes from norwich - 83 and still travels up to see his beloved football team!! Bless him - never misses a match!!

Just off now to help sort out stuff for daughter - will catch up with you later - with love to you, yours and your lovely pets. Pup sends a pup grin :o=) !!!xxxx
Hi all. Lottie, I hope you are feeling a bit better today, the osteopaths do seem to maul you about bit. How can you twist a rib, it doesn't bare thinking about.

Alfie, its always strange when they go off to uni. You will miss her, but don,t worry, the washing will keep on coming lol.
Is pup a spaniel, how old is he (she?) now?
Hi Rosetta! How are you doing?xx

My pup is a cocker spaniel - 2 years old now and still as daft as ever!!!! Peter Pan of the doggy world!!! He is so lovable but so naughty!!!! He steals everything in sight - searches pockets, steals underwear from the laundry basket, tissues, anything really Lol!!!! A true sniffer dog i guess!!! He gives us so much joy tho and we love him to bits but yes - he gets a telling off when naughty - then he does the big spaniel eyes thing and ...... well - then he gets loadsa cuddles!!!! He has def got us wrapped round his wee paws!!! xx

Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Weather not too good here, getting a wee bit overcast - just preparing roast for the family for later and there may be a sausage for pup - if he behaves himself :o)xxx
Alfie you are lucky.I love spaniels. Who could resist those sad eyes lol
