Hello jules, I know this isn't directed at me, but sounds like it's a good thing, so I just wanted to pass on my congratulations! x

You must be thrilled! Was it a big show? Is your girl young, or a seasoned showdog?

It was the Birmingham National Championship show, she got the 'bitch' challenge certificate, which we tend to call the 'ticket', sorry for confusion. They need three 'tickets' to become a champion. My little girl is 2 years old, she is a seasoned show girl, but has not been to as many shows as some dogs as I am hopeless at directions!!.

Haha tiger, I have no idea about shows, so I had to just take a bit of a guess, knowing from previous experience that both jules and lankeela have a history of showing, and are passionate about it!

I don't think the 'bitch ticket' was awarded to jules herself :S It's an odd term though!

Haha jules, I know what you mean! I have not long started to drive and I would like to go to lots of new places, except that I am scared of getting to them!

You learn something new every day. You must be very proud of your girl. She sounds a stunner :) Well done to you both.

Well done!!!

Just for people not into showing etc. Birmingham one of the biggest shows in the year.

How many bitches did she beat to get the ticket Jules (if you have worked it out yet!)?

Well kita, as much as I would love to get involved in showing, or at least a bit of agility and flyball, I have said before and will say again that the only showing our Collie can do is showing us up!

But to me he is the best dog in the world!

jules' bitch must have fought off some stiff competition, given the overall reputation of the show.

There were around 70 bitches, I think, and around 50 or so dogs........now, I put the certificate on the fire place and it has slid down the back and it would be a huge job and half the wall would have to come down to get the fireplace out...........help Lankeela, can I get a duplicate??

Sorry to laugh, jules, but I just did :S Bless you! I hope they can provide you with a duplicate so you can display your successes!

I once waited so long for my Criminal Records clearance that when I finally got it, I was so pleased I accidentally threw it in the bin with the junkmail, and it consequently has a huge tea bag stain on it! :S

Yay! Way to go! Brilliant! I know other people have congratulated you, but I really appreciate what an achievement this is. Lets hope the next two are not far behind. Don't worry about the certificate, although the 'big green card' is wonderful to get, you will be sent an actual Challenge Certificate by the Kennel Club very shortly. It has the KC 'seal' on it and is A4 size, so go buy your frame now!

I didn't go today, as I didn't think much of our judge.

thanks Lankeela, and everyone else, I still cant believe it and keep 're living' the moment. I always thought I would be emotional 'if' it happened, but I was absolutely speechless and gobsmacked.........and shaking life a leaf!!

My puppy won his class at a breed club champ show last weekend, but I didnt think he would be the judges cup of tea today, so he did well.
