Me!
Me too - always like to feed our feathered friends.
Me too!
Depends what you mean by a lot. We keep our regulars going nicely through the winter but also bake good wholemeal bread so crusts are good for them too.
We buy fatballs in the winter, but tbh it's not fair for us to feed the birds, they'd be sitting targets for the catz.
I always leave my left over maggots out for the robins and blackbirds.
We do, in our house they eat better than us! We give them daily grapes, apples, suet balls, meal worms, suet pellets with combined insects in addition to the feeders full of sunflower hearts! They reward us though - with hours of enjoyment watching goldfinches, chaffinches, blackbirds, robins, sparrows and collared doves.
I buy lots for the birds because I like to watch them in winter. I would not say a real lot of money tho.
We do too, so many squabbling at the feeder and the robins have to be fed separately
... and me ...

CJ feeder seed - only the best

Rodney in my local birding emporium is currently choking, after I asked him last week ... "Do you still have Fat Balls" ...
God point boxtops, waste of time if there are marauding moggies about. Then we put ground food down, the terrier (above) keeps them off and the birds take no notice of him.
oops typos! read "good" and "when"
I used to buy fatballs and put bread out for the birds when it was very cold and snowy. I had to stop last year, I had all sorts of visitors squirrels fieldmice robins blackbird and a rat which found it's way underneath the house and was a 'b' to get rid of ending up like a bunch of Bulgarians camping out.
Anyone noticed less garden visitors this year? I've read it's due to the mild weather so far this winter.

ive nothing against birds, but id rather give my money to childrens charity.
I don't spend a penny. I keep the crusts from my wholemeal bread and mix them with the fat from the George Foreman grill.
They're rather popular.
... and me.
Got some worms from pound land
They have fat balls too
yup ric-mor- got dried mealworms and fatballs from poundland too cheapest about
- the only thing is -the birds wud eat the worms all in one go if you put them all out :-)
also , I get a bag of mixed grain from local farm supplies( only £7;50) -the bigger birds go for it
