AOG - I am unsure who you think may be making a U-Turn - or why - can you elaborate please?
School rules , dont like it get out then

Into a different school with different rules?

A 'faith based' school for instance?

That would be even worse
I don't see why the school is fussed, religion or not. So long as all is neat & tidy.

The parents would've (or at least should have) been told the school's dress policy when they applied for places for their kids.

I wish in these reports, someone would just ask "Didn't you realise this when you signed up?"
"“Children who turn up to school with red hair, inappropriate jewellery, false tan or make-up are isolated in a room until the matter is addressed and then they return to their normal day."

A little unfair on ginger haired children...?!

Perhaps the Muslim religious leaders could point out that the beard is not compulsory and that delaying strict adherence until the age of 18 is perfectly acceptable

Yes, I was thinking that - not all Muslim men grow beards!

I believe the u-turn AOG is referring to was a recent case involving Muslim women wearing veils...I think...in courts.
Is there a school rule forbiding beards?

These kind of rules are stupid. In the sixties and seventies some schools banned long hair. A few years later they were banning short hair. Then they tried to ban coloured hair. Now they ban extensions. All utterly bonkers.

In AOGs second link there is a teacher with a beard and rash (under the basket ball hoop). Will they ban him as well?

Beards are acceptable in life, so there is no reason for a ban. I think AOG is referring to the authorities caving in and allowing them like they did in the recent veil bans that were quickly rescinded. That is the U-turn in the question.

I hope and think they will make a U-Turn.

he may have had a *rash* but I meant to type 'tash'. ;-)

Try and keep up Andy, wasn't there a collage recently that made a U Turn on it's previous ban on the niqab,

Why is that sp can't see any mention of ginger hair?
Idly wondering (it's the best kind) what the school would do with a Sikh youth. There may be some discussion about the need for Muslims to be unshaven, but there is none concerning Sikhs , for whom it is plainly a religious requirement.

Why would a Muslim wish to attend a Roman Catholic School anyway, sprouting a beard or not?

Perhaps a Sikh youth would not wish to attend a school which imposes a beard ban, least all a Catholic school?
AOG - "Try and keep up Andy ... "

Try not to be patronising and sarcastic - failure to make an OP clear is the responsibility of the poster, not the reader.
