Why wont the acrylic harden on my false nails?

I always have acrylic nails applied by a nail technician and each time i convince myself that im sure i could do them myself. I bought all the stuff needed, followed some instructions i downloaded off...

Why would you care if...?

If someone lived or died, was in pain, what have you. Since that person is not you why care? I don't so why would you?
