Mystery Car Problem

Here's a problem: 2 days ago my car wouldn't start, at all. The day after it coughed to a start and since has run fine but does make a strained noise when starting sometimes... sounds like dead...

peugeot 406 cutting out

my 406 has an intermittent fault that causes the engine to cut out when junctions ,traffic lights etc are approached.The engine can easily be restarted and the problem may not occur again for many...
