It surprised me too. No mention of our heritage, the queen, tower of London,Buckingham Palace, even fish and chips! LOL

Once when i was in Florida, and met some locals, they asked me if i had met the queen and seemed really surprised when I said no.!

When my OH was living in America someone asked him where in the UK he lived. He said Northampton and they asked did he know John Doe from London.

I think the Americans think we live in one small village.
