I need some walls plastered and have got one quote so far.

The Plasterer said I need to Board the walls first and to ask a joiner to come in and do this.

My query is, is do Plasterers not normally do Boarding as part of the job?

Any Plasterers out there?

As TB.....I have found over recent times plasterers are reluctant to fix boarding as it takes too much messing about...they have to get the boards to site..cut to size ...mix adhesive...fix to wall...level out, when its easier to arrive in a small van...mix the skim...apply...stand back...admire..and take the cash.We are renovating a property at the moment and we have 72 2400mm x 1200mm to go on the 2.9m ceilings.Three of the local recommended plasterers refused to do the boarding....so I did it myself.
