Is there an event/ incident from your past ( funny or otherwise) that involved you / someone else , that floats across your mind from time to time ?

I'm not talking about the big ones like marriage etc ( unless there was something within those events themselves )

On Wednesday afternoon, I walked past the Road where my friend lived, and it reminded me of the time (About 20 years ago) he came round to see me (Two or three days before New Years Eve) to finalise our plans for the 31st.

Our Neighbour used to own two ex-Police dogs, and they were on the front of their property, being watched over by their Babysitter. Upon hearing the footsteps, the biggest of the two was on full alert and went into full attack mode. My mate ended up with a punctured right buttock and a trip to the local Hospital for a Tetanus shot! The 31st rolled around and there was a full moon that night - as my mate took great delight in showing everyone his war wound, in EVERY Pub! He was so brave, in fighting off this, frankly, Horse, that he nearly drowned in sympathy.
Many. Most too lurid to talk about on here.
As a child I was watching Grease for the first time with mum and dad. It got to the bit when they are in the gym and behind JT there was a chap pushing up on his hands with his elbows tucked under his knees. I said 'Dad, how do you do that' so he said I'll show you. He gets off the sofa and gets into position gets up onto his hands and ended up wobbling before sprawling the length of himself across the living room carpet. Always makes me giggle and it's never far from my mind...

My ma would give us a smack across the face if we did something wrong -

I recall picking up this bottle of dettol in the bathroom , took the top off and somehow the bottle fell on the floor with most of the contents spilling .

Knowing that i would be in for a smack , i thought i would be clever and top it back up with water .

I soon realised that it was a bad idea as the first bit of water entered the bottle
Many years ago we went on holiday to Sardinia. My OH got a boil on his bum and the rep took him to hospital where it was treated and he was given very strong antibiotics and could not drink for the rest of the holiday which didn't please him greatly, but we still had a good time. The following year we went to as Sicily and got chatting to a rep. OH asked what they did in the winter. She replied that at the end of the season the had a conference to go over the following season etc. She said then we chat about funny things that had happened during the year and the funniest story was the one about the man who had a boil on his bum! We looked at each other and I said 'this is that man'
Her face was a picture!! We often talk about it.
Lots of things pop into my mind for no apparent reason.
I often think of the time when I was sneeking a look at a book I had in my drawer at work when I was supposed to be working. I was alone in the office and suddenly I heard a very loud burp behind me and turned quickly thinking my boss had snuck in and I hadn't heard him and he was watching me. There was absolutely no-one there and I was still alone. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck rise. I definitely heard a distinct and loud burp !!
Its is usually things that you wish you hadn't done. I was a teenager (I think though memory hazy). My mother had poured sherry for some people coming to visit. I raided the tray drinking half from each glass and topping up with water!
I remember being in class aged about 7 reading words out of a dictionary. I idly underlined one because it was boring and a piece of chalk flew past my ear. The teacher demanded to know if I was defacing the bible and I said no. He came towards me to grab the bible but I leapt off my chair and he was basically chasing me round the desk. I made a bolt for the door and ran off home.
bible? I mean dictionary.

I think you would have to be devoid of a mind for that not to happen, Bazile.
