If I remember rightly England were favourites to get the 2018 World Cup and then there was a Panorama program about the corruption going on within FIFA a week before the announcement was made, and then Russia got the vote.

If the Russians are involved in any scandal then Blatter will probably die of a mystery illness before he spills the beans on any wrongdoings
will it make a lot of difference in the long run? or will the state of affairs gradually settle down to their present status quo?

I am sure I remember around the time of this vote a lot of people on AB complaining about the BBC for endangering England's chances of getting the nod from FIFA< and I believe some government ministers and maybe even some people here, were muttering about the "lack of patriotism" of the press and the BBC.
In fact what about this quote from a World Leader on meeting Blatter in 2011
"Mr President, you have done a huge amount for football during your whole life. The decisions you have made have been instrumental in taking the game to new heights"
The words of D. Cameron
What the bloody hell does Cameron know about world football?
He's not sure if he supports West Ham, Aston Villa or Burnley.
Wrong shaped balls I think, talbot?
Interesting observation on BBC Breakfast today.

Sepp Blattee didn't vote for Qatar for 2012, but Michel Platini did.
