Everybody knows that FIFA is corrupt, but Blatter is now saying that he is going because "My mandate does not appear to be supported by everybody."

That doesn't ring true and that was the point of my post, so why be so offensive ? This isn't party politics and I should be able to voice an opinion without sarcasm from you !
When has his mandate been supported by everybody?

He doesn't care about that at all.

Me, too!
It's a start but the whole outfit is riddled with corruption so it needs a good clear out and it will need someone to kick *** if FIFA is ever going to be fit for purpose.
"This isn't party politics and I should be able to voice an opinion without sarcasm from you ! "

he is not the type to resign without a very good reason,

but we know why hes resigning....he is guilty of bribery and corruption of one form or another ...theres no smoking gun as such...theres all his minions ready to plea bargain to save their own butts, and they will give the FBI all the evidence they need to shaft blatter whilst hoping to save their own rses...
theres no big deal here, this is long overdue
I note that Coca Cola and Mcdonalds have said he has done the right thing (or words to that effect)
