how important do you think it is to have a basic knowledge of the geography of this island? I sold a set of suitcases on ebay a few weeks ago to a bloke in stoke, 68 miles away, they were collection only, sold a dressing table to a woman in sheffield, 90 milwa away, again collection only, when both gave back word they both said they weren't sure how far away from them I was.
Just now, I have sold something that was listed as collection only to a bloke in Kelso, borders, 162 miles away and in another bloody country for gods sake! either people are stupid and cannot read, or they are just stupid.

It does seem to me that a knowledge of basic geography is not very prevalent these days. Just watch any general knowledge quiz show and observe what often happens when geography questions come up.

they are either ignorant of the geography or that excited at having bought
a bargain, not looking where they have to collect from, then doh..it's miles
away!!

Even if they had no idea it is you live it would take about 3 seconds to do a google search to at least get an idea.

I think geography is one of those subjects you either take to or dont,but with
sat-nav,people will become lazy,like people not able to write a proper letter
