I've started with Rosacea . I have been dieting, no drinking for three months. And now have this nasty sore face, with white pustules and red blotches, especially on the morning ..

During my dieting times I was eating, and still am when hungry, loads of ORANGES.

Is there any correlation in that excess citric acid could have caused this problem.

I told the doctor it was a weird and bizarre idea of mine, but somewhere in the back of my mind I had some idea about citric acid.

I've been prescribed 'metrodonizole or something ' and being female I can cover up with make up.

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.!

Citrus can indeed be an aggravating factor for some....

// The National Rosacea Foundation also recommends avoiding citrus fruits, bananas and red plums.//

Thanks for link. And I've been googling and it does seem that citric acid crops up quite a lot. And I did put it down to the Orange consumption in the first week or so, before I realised it was Rosacea.

Shall have to give up oranges and see if there's any improvement. It seems so ironic tha after three months of really, reallysensible eating, no cakes, biscuits , cream, chocs or wine etc..... and I lost the stone I wanted to lose, that I've ended up slim, fitter
but spotty ....
