Barring major upsets it looks like Bingham vs Murphy in the final and I’m really torn between a personal favourite for the title. Have to say Shaun is my favourite player – total integrity, genuinely nice personality and intelligent/articulate to boot. But, having seen Stuart’s emotional reaction on winning the quarter-final, the heart says it would be fantastic to see him win.
Who are you rooting for?

i'm not familiar with the players, but i assume from your post that bingham is the underdog

i always root for the underdog, therefore my support would be for bingham
Trump v. Bingham still pretty close. I wouldn't want to call that one.
I would like Murphy 'The Magician' too win. Most consistent player this tournament and a nice guy.
Bingham is only 9-7 up in a best of 33 game, I wouldn't call it a "major upset" if Trump won!
I would like to see Murphy take the title.
I don't know who to root for in the semi between Trump and Bingham. I'd always cheered on Trump previously because he comes from my area, but I can't help but be thrilled by how well Bingham is doing, and touched by how he was overcome in getting this far. I like Murphy too, but if Bingham gets to the final I'll be rooting for him.
anax; think you'll find that Bingham's nickname is 'Ball-run' on account of always seemingly getting the run of the ball.
Well with a single session to go there are still only two frames in it for Trump v. Bingham. Still a close match.
Whoever gets through, it promises to be a decent final. Incidentally, if Murphy were to win the final 10 years after his first win, he would emulate the late, great Hurricane Higgins who won the title on 1972 and 1982.

OK, I'm getting nervous...
My money would be on Trump.
Brilliant under the pressure
Both of them were. Seemed to me that Trump didn't do anything wrong in the last frame but Bingham potted his way through a difficult pair of breaks to win. Probably deserved it, up until 14-16 there was a sense that Judd was hanging on by the skin of his teeth.

I fear for Binghan in the final.
He's an exciting player to watch -- but I think he'll need to rein in his attacking instincts just a bit more if he wants to win this. Sometimes he is going for too much too soon and too powerfully. He's clearly more cautious now than four years ago , but it doesn't make him less exciting.
Murphy 1/2 fav - Bingham 2/1

Gone for Murphy 18-14 @ 12/1
Has been a much better watch since O'Sullivan and his tantrums went home.Would think Shaun Murphy favourite but would like to see Stuart Bingham take it.P.S. event the commentators are less boring now no Ronnie this,Ronnie that,Ronnie the other.
