Guess what?
I've won £25 on the skeleton crossword. I've spent more than that this year alone on postage stamps for all the crosswords I post off. But still, it makes you feel good to win.

Caran, my mother loved the skeleton crossword and regularly sent in her entry. She never won,but i'm glad someone I know here has now won :-)

Bunkmoreland I have won this twice before going back about 20 years. I won the Barebones crossword a few years ago also with a collection of reference books and encyclopaedia.

We used to sit on a sunday night ,like you,with all books etc ,checking stuff out (my words not her's) doing the express comps. Happy memories.

Sunday is my best day of the week. I start with the mail on Sunday general knowledge, then I do the Sunday express magazine general knowledge one.
Then I do you magazine puzzle. Next it's bare bones puzzle. Then I start the skeleton. I also fit in the crusader and his squire and sir Lancelot.there is also a couple of sudoku puzzles on the way. So all in all a busy day and night.

I start doing it from nothing, just knowledge, then the books come out, then the internet kicks into touch.
