Has there ever been a member of cabinet that has been a working class man (or woman)?
Why are they (or seem to be) quiet wealthy in there own right?
Labour say they are working class but ive never known a Labour minister to holiday at Butlins or, in the modern world, have the need to use a food bank.
What does Milliband know about the average man in the street?
Its been said on another thread that all the major parties have morphed into one, It seems to be true. The rich v the poor.
No matter who you vote for its still a plutocracy... the rule of the privelged over the rest of us.

Seems relevant enough to me. People are judging Miliband by the fact he looks a bit geeky and sounds educated. Easy to forget his background.
Working class and refugee are not the same thing.

"Nye" Bevan was a coal miner in South Wales prior to his election to parliament.
There were plenty of working class MPs in the north east, though few achieved cabinet status.

Alan Johnson was a working class lad. Brought up by his sister when their mother died (Dad was seldom around). He became a postman and progressed in to politics via the trade Union route. I've meet him a few times over the years and he's a very genuine man.
