You can put both on a the same network, and allow access from the new one to the old one's drive. Or you could copy to a flash drive and then on to the new PC. Or use an external hard drive.

erm ... what is a flash drive
A small drive, sometimes known as a thumb drive or other name which usually plugs into your USB socket. It uses flash memory which is why it is known as a flash drive.

Or it might be called a memory stick or a USB stick. Get them in a stationery shop, or WH Smiths or Amazon or anywhere that sells computers.

Here's one for example

Once you 've bought one come back and someone will help you load the contents of the old PC onto it. You then pop it into the new PC and transfer across.
You could also upload your data to the cloud using free services such as Google Drive and OneDrive.

This means you can access your data from any internet connected device in the world if you know your log in details.
Microsoft have written a program called "windows easy transfer" that will transfer all your data from one PC to another.

If both computers are windows you could use that.

Just search for windows easy transfer on the web.
