Soooooooooo pleased this man has finally been brought to justice, Helen Scott's mother was my friend, and died as a result of the pain she went through. I know this may not concern any of you, but just had to express my feelings of relief.

A rather horrible case. I know live in England so do not really get a lot of news about it but know a lot of friends and family that are following the case. Rest assured they are gone but haven't been forgotten.

It said on the news that the girls were last seen leaving the bar with two men. Was the other one ever caught or questioned to see if he had any part in this terrible crime?

I'm from Edinburgh and I remember when all this happened. It shocked the city and now, after nearly 40 years, the man is jailed. I hope he suffers a million kinds of h**l in jail.

I saw Helen Scott's father on the news last night. Poor man, I hope he has some peace in his life now.
