Yesterday, I put lots of winter pansies in the bare spots of the garden and they have really brightened it up. What else can I plant out to give a bit more colour?

primula..plant wallflower for next year too... winter scented jasmine if you want a climber..
Question Author
Thanks, minty. I don't need a climber but I'll get some primulas. I'm looking for instant colour. My garden is very green, lots of shrubs, most of which have been pruned or are full of berries.
I need some flowers to dot about to last until it gets cold and frosty
cyclamen available too..but they can be temperemental and don`t like too wet conditions...
Question Author
Oh yes, cyclamen, I forgot about them. It looks like a run out to the garden centre, I think.
Thank you, minty.
How about some Heuchera, Those with the attractive leaf colors.
A bit expensive, unless you buy the verry small ones and grow them on.
Question Author
I'll have to look them up, Chip. I don't know what they are.
Just google some images Tilly and you'l be hit with a collage of colors!
Question Author
Ha, just had a look. I have two of those! One is purple and the other is green. The purple one is a bit small and insignificant.

The reason I don't know what plants I have, is that I can never remember the names!
There is a free voucher in today's Daily Telegraph for 2 boxes of winter flowering plants worth £7.00 from Homebase...just take the voucher along and collect the free plants
