I'd guess that he'll have a similar background to that of the killers of Lee Rigby. He'll have some form as a petty criminal, be black, and a convert to Islam.
Normally you would be excoriated by the Lentil- crunching libs but on this occasion you might er reprieved for such a remark, with which the majority would agree.
looking round his eyes, his skin doesn't seem black to me, just Arab brown.
Question Author
I number myself among the lentil munchers. Having listened to the killers voice it seems likely he's not of an Asian background. A number of troubled young black men have looked for answers in Islam. All some of them have found is more trouble. It's probably he has a criminal record for relatively minor offences. It doesn't take a Sherlock Holmes...
I wouldn't be surprised if his parents or siblings are linked to the medical profession.

It is emerging that the Security Services have monitored many of the British IS members including recordings of their telephone conversations. If they do not know who he is yet, I suspect they will have a name soon.

Right-on liberalism has a lot to answer for no matter what British accent it is.

The slur of 'Racist' from the left to shut anyone up who dared challenge the Blair Brown 'great' mulitcultural experiment is still ringing in my ears.

Cameron and Clegg have a lot to answer for too, they also failed to see what the rest of the population (bar the yoghurt knitters) knew all along.
Ymb,
Good to see you can have a grown up conversation about a very serious matter.
Just ignore him, Gromit.

/// I am sure his family and friends will recognise the voice, so I think we will have a name fairly soon. ///

Are you really naive enough into believing that his family and friends would tell the authorities, even if they knew he was one of theirs?
To those who state that we should go back into Iraq and sort them out, I say this;

If we did there should be not politically correct 'rules of engagement' we should treat them as they do us, never mind those who then say "yes but that makes us no better than them".

Just remember those who were in agreement when one of our soldiers was imprisoned for shooting one of these low life?
Question Author
AOG, there are unwritten rules of engagement. The first of these is: Don't get caught.
How long will it be before people start getting abducted in the UK and beheaded in car parks? -no seriously. Look at the atrocities perpetrated by the IRA in the UK in the 1970's which 20 years earlier would have seemed unlikely if not preposterous. If these terrorists were all in one place they could be dealt with swiftly as the Japanese were in 1945. Unfortunately they aren't, and the world is not dealing with a conscripted army but an Army of Religious Fundamentalists (nutters). I shudder to think what could happen. Education and a tight control on ghettos in London and the North West would be a start.

His friends, or people who knew him will reveal who he is, if they are allowed to. We now know the security services have been monitoring him and that he calls himself "John". I have said from the beginning, they probably know exactly who he is and who is supporting him.

I can see why they would keep that from the public until now. While the security services do not reveal they know him, they can catch other people who implicate themselves by contacting with him. But there is now a clamour to know who he is, so they might have to release a name.

Alexander Blackman murdered an unarmed, wounded man. That is against our rules of engagement, and rightly so.
To the parents of James Foley, I do not know you, I may never meet you, but what I've seen & read has disgusted me, your son was trying to do he job, he was doing his job reporting on the scum of the earth including this scum that's taken your son's life, no matter what has been said by these scum they will never ever be fit to stand in the same shoes as your son, my families thoughts are with you, & may your brave son RIP
Gromit

/// His friends, or people who knew him will reveal who he is, ///

Just as I thought 'naive'.

/// Alexander Blackman murdered an unarmed, wounded man. That is against our rules of engagement, and rightly so. ///

Exactly my point, it is acceptable for them to behead a soldier, or a media correspondent, but still hang on to our own 'rules of engagement' as if we are fighting a uniformed foe who also fights according to rules of the Geneva convention.
AOG

Well done for spotting the difference.

We are w ell trained and professional Army.

They are murderous terrorists.

That is why we behave in a civilised manner even in war, and they don't.

When we start to to act like murderous terrorists, we have lost anyway.
If you were this murderer's mother, father, brother or sister, and recognised his voice, would you shop him ?
I would.
Question Author
The killer has burnt his boats. He'll not be coming back willingly to the UK.
There is just a possibility that he might be from a wealthy Arab family. Sent over here to be educated at one of our prestigious schools. He is well spoken and just to make an observation, he might be left handed.
