Definitely!
Don't know about it being a London accent, sandy. The only thing I have read says a English accent.
which part of London?
It's just so awful sandy.... I don't really care what accent he has. I just don't understand how one human being can do that to another..I'ts totally beyond my comprehension...And in the name of God makes it even more appalling. If they have a hell, I hope they rot in it. :o(
Are we talking about the bloke who was killed or the bloke who killed him?
Question Author
Working class accent from the East End.
Prof Paul Kerswill, a linguistics expert at the University of York, said he believed the man spoke in "multicultural London English" most commonly found in London's East End. "He probably has a foreign language background but it sounds like multicultural London English, which is people from all kinds of backgrounds who mix in the East End, a new kind of cockney," he said.
Obiter - is your question real?

Didn't you read the OP question?

A London accent is a peculiar form of diction, the result of a surfeit of pies, peas and mash, washed down with a bowl of jellied eels.
Yes, albeit one which was tinged with his mother tongue. That mother tongue didn't sound Asian. The audio is very clear, so linguistic experts should be able to pin point a British location. I am sure his family and friends will recognise the voice, so I think we will have a name fairly soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the security services do not already know who he is.

Some people think we have fought too many wars recently and that we should leave IS to prosper. That would be very dangerous in the long term. They are at war with us and will soon strike on this soil, if we don't stop them. They need to be beaten and fast.

If Cameron shirks now, we will regret it later
Agree Gromit. They have to be stopped. And very soon.
Obiter,
The man who was murdered was an American. He was a civilian, a journalist, going about his work.

IS have another captured journalist ready to murder, and they will. When they have run out of journalists to murder, they will capture doctors, aid workers, anyone.

They will continue to commit further atrocities until they are stopped. Those who think we should do nothing because we are a bit war weary, ain't seen the tip of what these people will do.
I agree with Gromit. The only way to get rid of this lot is to treat like with like. They are completely brainwashed and brainwashed people are capable of anything.

Do you mean we should start capturing and be-heading known members?
I wouldn't go that far, which is why I have advocated the nuclear option.
Of course not Khandro. But I do think that killing the lot of them would be a good idea. What other option is there? Do you think that they are going to turn around in a few months or years and say " We have changed our minds now and don`t want to be terrorists any longer"?

Back to the OP. I'm sure his family back here will be horrified when they recognise his voice and will go straight to the relevant authorities to denounce him.

Ladybirder don't hold your breath.. I have yet to hear one Muslim denounce them and DO something about it. The sheer numbers of these jihadist/terrorists is quite shocking and to think we have just as many here, brainwashed to this vile religion, there could be an uprising here if the Government put a foot wrong.
