Has anyone any suggestions for getting rid of green water from a small garden pond? There is no pond weed or duck weed present. There is also a good quantity of oxygenating plants but not a lot of surface cover plants. The are no fish in the pond. Thank you for any help
It's probably due to the amount of sun we've been having. Surface covering plants such as lilies will help in the meantime barley straw or an algae clearing chemical will help.
If as you say, your pond is small, I wondered would it be small enough to cover with a board or such-like, just long enough to deprive the algae of sunlight to keep it under control ?
Thank you both for your suggestions. I am hoping to make a visit to a water garden centre during the next couple of weeks, unfortunately there is not one within 40 miles.
