At the start of the program, Philip was seen crumpling up some rubbish which he later threw out of the car towards a rubbish dump. Anyone know why he did this? Who is meant to pick it up - if anyone? Also, who did he shoot on the roof the previous week? It wasn't the 'walk in' man that went to the Russian Embassy was it? Im really confused with this program Im also suspicious of the neighbour Beeman - I think he is on to the spies and is looking for evidence to arrest them.

Though i will probably continue to watch, i don't think this series is as good as the last.
I had the same questions lyn. I think that in American dramas bits get left out probably in the editing for the British market. This leaves inexplicable holes! I seem to remember the same thing in Homeland.
The overview on Wiki may help although I'm getting a bit confused now !
I do like it though .I'm not too bothered about who's shooting and spying on who .I like the relationships aspect of it .
How on earth Martha hasn't sussed out "Clark " wears a wig is beyond me :)

The rubbish was a coded message which he threw onto a pre-arranged dead drop to collected later. Dead drops would be visited at pre-arranged times.
I think the guy Beeman shot on the roof was the walk-in guy,Demaran, who was trying to assassinate someone at a hotel.
beeman was suspicious of Philip and Elizabeth at the start of season 1.At one point he searched their garage. But I don't think he is now, given that his friendship with Philip has grown.
