Blood Test @9.30Am

I am to go for a fasting blood test this morning and I could murder a nice cup of tea. Violet Elizabeth Bott [ our cat] woke me up around 4am soaking wet and wanted to be dried off, she has never learnt to dry herself as the late CS has always done it for her since she was tiny [ 14 years ago] so she does not consider it to be her job. Son rang yesterday from Zambia he wants me to find him a second hand vacuum pump for his car by Sunday and take it miles away to a pal who is going out there on Monday, is there no end to my talents I ask myself all I want is to be left alone poor old Greta Garbo has my belated sympathies.

Treat yourself to a nice big brekfast when you get home. You will need to build up your strength for hunting down a vacuum pump.

thank you friends, I deserve a medal LOL I have also give up my evening vodka and sprite since last Sunday just in case t shows up on the test you never know ! and why would a nice 100% English guy want to live in Zambia I will never know, why not France where it would be easy to visit I ask myself ?

I hate fasting blood tests - even the cat food looks appetising on those mornings :-(

thanks for the commiserations folks, nurse could not find a vein had to ask the GP and the spare part is winging its way down from Lincs for tomorrow, my BP must be sky high but.... all is well at Chez Sa now and that cuppa was like nectar from the gods ! enjoy your weekend everyone.

Believe this or not, but when I've had to fast last 2 times, I have made a cuppa as usual, and let it cool down and took sips and swished it around and convinced myself I had swallowed it. Worked wonders for me and felt i had a drunk a lovely cuppa charlie.
