i posted on this yesterday and only one response i believe.
I think the Shia's & the Sunni's slaughtering each other in Muslim countries is a lot more offensive. Why don't they set up an online petition for that?
because we are a safer target.
As a Christian I am offended every time a Muslim makes one of these stupid complaints, we can not change everything to suit them, if they want everything done their way they should go and live in a Muslim country, not a Christian one, what ever happened to "when in Rome do as the Romans do" this is our country, they should remember that and try to fit in, not keep making themselves unpopular.
//the only way you can destroy a Koran or any holy writing is by burning it//

That’s inaccurate. Disposing of old copies of the Koran by burning is the last resort.

Some people take offence with relish. They'll get over it.

it could have cost Salman Rushdie his life, so people don't always get over it. fancy having to hide out because some take offence at the written word, or make a video, stark raving mad.
True, Emmie - and speaking of Salman Rushdie, he's still not out of the woods.

that was from 2012, does it still stand then, if so how can they see this as remotely right.

sure one could find other incidences of Muslim outrage, except the outrage they perpetrate on one another, all in the name of their respective interpretations of the Koran
//Islamic hardliners continue to uphold the death sentence and one Iranian foundation has put a $2.8m bounty on the author's life.

Technically a fatwa cannot be revoked and only dies with the person it is directed against. //

I'm sure the question should have been 'Why do religions have to search for ways to be offended'. Picking out Muslims is religionist.
The Mormons have the right idea. Instead of taking offence at the musical 'The Book of Mormon', they used it to their advantage to advertise their organisation.

how many Christians in Britain today put a bounty on someone's head for making rude remarks, a video or film of their deity, or fire bombed their premises, or made death threats. They might in the US, some of their idiot fundamentalists are akin to these fanatics.
I feel like Bill Murray.

;-)
^ perhaps you should tell him he might reciprocate :o)
doubt he is your type.
I can confirm that after 1:00 the pendant is replaced with an Eye of Horus. That is the thing that looks like an R and incidentallywas the origin of the R x in doctors prescription.

Before that there is another pendant - and I dont think it says Allah, to be honest. To me it is more like the CHinese character 'kou' meaning mouth

but there you are.

I read it that she was obliterating suitors not deities, but there again I didn't read in detail.

I don't think one can compare with the Madonna video, she has opted to try to offend Christianity as a marketing ploy in that video with it's burning crosses and church interiors, the prayer reference, etc., and by singing about how she wants to take someone whilst on her knees relating it to sexual practices. How does that compare to a token with a deity's name on it. It doesn't.
